Sailor Multi Purpose Rotating Pen the Yubi Maki-e Warlords of the Sengoku Period “Oda Nobunaga” 16-8389-210

The Yubi maki-e multi-purpose pen was born as a response to customers wanting to enjoy the world of maki-e (Gold or Silver relief art on lacquer) in a more informal way. The unique colors of “maki-e” which could only be enjoyed as a result of fine hand-craftsmanship, have been reproduced through the use of modern printing technology to create a new type of decorative product. First, the basic design is printed then to create highlights powdered metals such as gold and silver are applied by hand to complete the work. Here, “Oda Nobunaga” warlords from Aichi prefecture who led Japan towards unification are depicted in these “Yubi maki-e” products.
